CHAPTER 3: When The Gloves Come Off…
Masashi: Won’t take five minutes eh?
Makoto slashes his arm and a lot of earth spikes jump up at Masashi.
Masashi; !
Masashi jumps back but is cut on both sides a little bit by the spikes.
Masashi back flips back as spikes come up and almost hit him.
Masashi skids.
Masashi: Heh. Not bad.
Shows shadows on the ground growing, like it would if clouds went over the sun
Makoto: Thanks.
Masashi: Why’d it get so da--
Masashi: !
Shows two incredibly large boulders above Masashi.
Makoto slams his hand down.
Masashi looking up: !
Masashi looking at Makoto
Masashi looks up.
Masashi charges a lot faster than before at Makoto.
Makoto: He’s Faster than before!
Makoto jumps back as Masashi punches at where he was.
Masashi kicks at Makoto’s head.
Makoto blocks it.
Masashi kicks Makoto in the stomach using his other foot.
Masashi back flips.
Masashi lunges at Makoto about to punch him.
Masashi punches a wall of Earth.
Masashi: Hm…
Makoto from behind the wall: Your move.
Masashi: Very well…
A fireball forms in Masashi's hand.
Masashi shoots large fireball at the wall.
The wall is destroyed and small pieces of fire fly everywhere.
Makoto: What!
Masashi punches Makoto in the face twice.
Makoto slashes his arm out.
A wall starts to come up.
Masashi flips over it and lands, sitting on the front of Makoto’s shoulders.
Masashi flips backwards and throws Makoto into the air doing so.
Masashi spits a long chain of fire at Makoto.
Makoto swipes his arm up.
A large wall of Earth shoots up.
The fire hits the Earth wall and stops.
Makoto: Phew…
Makoto lands on the ground.
Makoto: Heh, I thought you said you couldn’t use Chi yet?
Masashi: I was hoping to surprise you and throw you off guard. Did it work?
Makoto: Heh. We’ll see.
Makoto and Masashi run at each other.
Masashi flips and drop kicks at Makoto.
Makoto blocks.
Makoto throws Masashi behind him.
Masashi flips and kicks Makoto from behind(while still in the air).
Makoto stumbles.
Masashi lands.
Masashi slightly turning his head: Phew…
Makoto grits his teeth.
Masashi: Stronger than you though eh?
Makoto: Heh.
A earth spike shoots up at Masashi from the front.
Masashi goes to back up.
Masashi: !
Shows Masashi ducking just as two earth spikes from in front of him and behind him collide right where his head was, a few of Masashi’s hairs flying up by the spikes from being cut off.
Masashi dives to the left as another spike shoots up.
Another earth spike shoots up.
Masashi kicks off with his right leg.
Masashi flies to the left a bit of blood flying in the air.
Masashi skids against the ground.
Aston: Easy now!
Makoto: Sorry…got carried away…you think he’s alright?
Aston: !
Makoto: What?
Aston looks down: Nothing Son. Continue.
Makoto nods.
Makoto starts to walk forward thought: This feeling…
Aston thought: Could it be?
Masashi gets up.
Aston though: It can’t be…him
Masashi starts to turn around.
Makoto: !
Masashi is bleeding straight down the cheek, his eyes are completely blank.
Makoto: What is this!?
Masashi: I’m sorry…I’m still learning to control it…forgive me…if it gets out of hand.
Makoto thought: What!
Masashi disappears.
Makoto is hit into the air.
Makoto flies down at the ground.
Makoto skids against the ground.
Masashi appears in front of him.
Makoto jumps back a few feet.
Masashi: Let’s see who’s Chi is stronger…yours…
Makoto shudders: Or ours…
Makoto thought: What is he!?
Masashi throws a large fireball at Makoto.
Makoto blocks it with an Earth wall.
Makoto: !
Shows Masashi behind Makoto: Too slow!
Masashi throws multiple fireballs at Makoto.
Makoto jumps forward.
Makoto kicks off the earth wall.
Makoto forms a Earth Pillar in front of him.
The pillar slams down at Masashi.
Shows the top of the Pillar crumbling.
Makoto thought: No!
Masashi bursts through the top.
Makoto thought: Impossible! That’s solid Earth! What in God’s name is he!?
Makoto’s Father appears in between Masashi and Makoto.
Makoto: What?
The three of them land on the ground.
Makoto's father's hand glows blue.
Makoto's father hits Masashi in the chest with his glowing hand.
Masashi squints a bit.
Masashi coughs.
Masashi falls to his knees.
Aston: Better?
Masashi: Yeah…
Makoto: Just what the hell happened here?
Masashi: I’ve still learning how to control it. Sometime’s it gets through a little too much though.
Makoto: Sometimes what gets through? What’s going on here?
Aston sighs.
Makoto, angry: TELL ME!
Aston: Fine, fine. How to explain it....
Masashi: When I was around 6 years old...
Makoto: ?!
Masashi: I was biten by the Phoenix.
Makoto: The Phoenix?
Masashi: Yes...it was a bird of fire, but there was something special about this Phoenix.
Makoto: What would that be...
Masashi: Okay this may be a bit weird...
Makoto: You're talking to be about a bird that bit you and gave you incredible powers...that ship has sailed....
Masashi: It was the reincarnation of a Chi Lord.
Makoto: Uh....huh....
Aston: It's not that uncommon. It happens all the time actually, about 1 out of 20 people have been biten or touched by one of these things.
Makoto: I see…
Makoto: So Masashi…who do you have in you?
Masashi: There is not a more awkward question than that.
Makoto: You know what I meant!
Masashi: Fire Lord Daemon. Chi Lord, was defeated by the Wind Dojo. Who was local to Yakan.
Makoto: Wow, you sure know your stuff.
Masashi: If you say so…
Aston: Well you guys better head off to the Academy.
Masashi shoots a fireball on accident.
Makoto: What was that?
Masashi: I don’t know. Maybe some of the power is still leaking out.
Makoto: Hm…okay.
Makoto and Masashi start walking away.
Masashi waves: Thanks again!
Aston waving: No problem!
Masashi accidentally shoots another fireball.
Aston’s hair catches on fire: Oop!
Masashi and Makoto walking away(Makoto’s Dad in the back ground running around and spazzing, hitting his hair to get it off fire)(Masashi): Will your dad be okay? He did look a little…out of it.
Shows Them walking off with Makoto’s Dad in the background still running around beating his hair: Hot! Ooooh Hot! Sooo Hot! Ow! Ow! (Makoto: Yeah…He’ll be just fine.)
Masashi takes a sip of water.
Makoto: Don’t drink so much…
Shows the big desert: We’ve got a long journey ahead of us.
