My Inconstant Moon dots

Just a tiny orb of light
Up there in the sky
Yet somehow, your crazy gravitational pull
Makes me feel so high

You rise up through the starry night
And drag me to the sea
I watch the waves crash on the shore
And I feel your hold on me

Just a tiny orb of light
But an object of endless lore
It demands my utter fascination
And shakes me to my core

You come and go in relentless cycles
Always with an end and a beginning
I watch you sail across the sky
And forget the world is spinning

But the night has come and gone
And I hope to see you again soon
You bathe the world in your silver light
My inconstant moon
