this is something i wrote about my father, who just died last week. i havent spoke with him in the last 14 years. its funny how when people die you only remember the good. after reading this i started to cry. i just thought i would share it with you all over again

    dotsinsignificant man <repost> ripdots

here in the now. stuck on yesterday
remembering everything he had to say
    he sent guidence, love, play
but the one thing he taught perfectly was how to walk away
Stuck on what i missed, what i lost
I miss, yes i miss but the damage holds me back
What is quote, what is the cost for him to admit and apologize for what he tossed

so there you sit an insignificant man
not caring, not giving a damn
too weak to make a stand
disowning your kin for society to brutally brand

i tried to figure you out but i am chained by all this pain and doubt

Now here i stand an insignificant man, looking for a plan
but i cannot find cause im stuck in trying to figure out why you didn't give a damn

waiting to live cause im exhausted from dying why was your greatest impact on me deception and lying
Eternally crying-- i often dwell on that soon day you will lie in that coffin
scared that i never had a chance to amend and remind you of the son you had forgotten

constantly i look at my life in reverse
don't you know the pain gets worse the further back you go
my own regrets come swallow me whole
as my life turs onto an insanity stroll

Lost and lonely i reach for a plan
but when you abandoned my youth and the love you shown
it left me forever stuck and confused now grown
So open your heart, hear my plea
as i sit an insignificant man searching for strength lyrically

    ready to explode
yet i push on with no destination
despite the complication of my salvation
needing a friend i strive to win
but the path i walk ends at the begin
which leaves this insignificant man lost again
