    -------------------------------------------

The history of the figure known simply as the "First Fallen" is almost a myth in its own right. Some claim he is a tale told to teach children about good and evil, some claim he was one of Bane's lieutenant's who died at the end of the War of the Ancients, but there is a third more disturbing theory: he is a rogue Ancient, alive and well, waiting for his time to strike. What follows is what little is thought to be known about him.

The story of the "First Fallen":
The history of this figure is pure guesswork, the man believed to be the "Fallen" was born decades before the War of the Ancients. Showing an astonishing level of psychic ability he was trained to utilise it. Fearing the potential powers he wielded he was denied full training, but this merely infuriated the ambitious young Ancient. He left his mentor and began a solo search for his true potential. Unlike the Precursor his fall was willing, tapping powers no mortal should wield.

He released a lethal virus, believed by some to have been the origin of the mysterious collpase of the Ancient race which led to the War of the Ancients, and which scarred him permanently. He fought in the armies of Bane, one of his most trusted advisors and most powerful of the "Fallen" Ancients. His involvement in the battles is uncertain, though he is thought to have been on the field of battle on Sarn Gebir. Thought among the dead there are some who believe he was able to escape unnoticed. Unlike Bane, who was killed, and the Precursor, who was banished to Hell, he is thought to have vanished into exile, wandering the universe in search of greater power. He is even rumoured to have succeeded in tapping Pure Dark Energy, a source of power no mortal has ever been able to control.

Whereabouts at the time of the end of the sixth book:
Most believe that no ordinary mortal could have survived this length of time, though his powers may have aided him. He now faces an advantageous scenario: the Allied armies are in pieces, the New Breed are still in enough numbers to pose a major threat with a good leader, and the living "factories" which cloned them have not been destroyed. If he can exploit these advantages then he may be unstoppable. Plus, if he has indeed tapped the Dark Energy, he would be more powerful than even the Precursor or the True Chosen One, making him the most powerful mortal being there is.....
