    dotsThoughts of divorcedots

    I don't think you noticed
what went on in my head
    every time I fucked you
on that stained and dirty bed.

    I don't think you realized
the speed in which I bathed,
hoping that some part of me
    could get past you unscathed.

    I don't think you spotted
the glazed look in my eye
or the stench of booze I hid
    to keep living that lie.

    I don't think you understood
    the hate and rage inside
every time I looked at you
    in my thoughts I cried.

Every time you said a word
my heart would turn to ice,
    adrenaline would start to pump,
my mind locked in a vice.

The thought of you would make me sick,
    I had to get away;
if I'd made it through another night
    I'd be still dead today.

For being to no one, this holds a lot of venom. It moves the whole act of sex into a power/dominance act...one that can bring self loathing. Your last lines are like a hook to a song; a contidiction that makes perfect sense.
