    What Will the Future Bring

    I am searching for something,
    That I can’t seem to find.
    What will the future bring?
    Will fate be kind?

    I have my doubts,
    Doesn’t everyone?
    Will my life follow the best routes,
    Or is it done?

    Will I find the perfect man?
    Will it be lonely life?
    Will he be my biggest fan?
    Will it be a marriage full of strife?

    What shall become of me?
    This is all I ask.
    Why can’t I be free,
    And end this final task?

    however, expand your repertoire.
    go read some ginsberg, sexton, whitman, lorca.
    it'll change you, make you break out of formulaic 4 line stanzas.

    that's all i can offer you. brutal, but the only way you'll truly grow.
