I take small breaths
so not to shake the trees,
unnerve the leaves or blow down houses.
I walk a little soft
so not to quake the ground.
I’ve been known to
chill rooms with a mood
and a gaze so
you know I keep it to myself.
Don’t want to shiver the world.
But I’m so lethal sometimes
I could destroy every good thing in my wake
And wear a freezing smile in the midst of that destruction.
Frightening.
Dog’s and babies shy away.
