    dotsRemember the Seasonsdots

Days pass full of sorrow and joy,
longing for the simplest of attentions
with so many empty one night stands
    and short, loveless relationships.
So much do we later regret these times and
remember the seasons in which love was real...

Weeks pass full of happiness and rejection,
loneliness joins us 'till we find the next "one",
then we meet one so beautiful without and within
love is imminent and yet unexpected when it hits.
So much do we later miss them we can't help but
remember the seasons in which love was real...

Months pass full of hatred and reparations,
monotony takes over and all hope seems lost,
yet somehow forgiveness of grievances is found
and love seems the victor over all.
So much do we later reminisce and find that we
remember the seasons in which love was real...

Years pass full of emptiness and loss,
death reaches those closest to our hearts
and we find ourselves cursing fate,
drowning in the emptiness of being alone.
So much do we then and forever struggle to
remember the seasons in which love was real...
