Lauren Conrad is a seventeen year old girl living in New York. She has a perfect life. She has long, luxurious blonde hair and shimmering blue eyes. The perfect boyfriend, Dillan. The perfect best friend, Matt. She thought everything was okay. She had everything the way she wanted it. She had it the way she imagined. The only problem was that her best friend, Matt, was a vampire and was forbidden to see Lauren. The master vampire, Lucifer, had forbade it. Matt always saw Lauren in secret. Then one night Lucifer had seen them leaving her house for a walk. Lucifer got angry and vowed to kill Lauren.
One night Lauren had stayed over at Dillan’s house to study. She had fallen asleep on his couch for a few hours. When she woke up it was midnight. She panicked and grabbed her things to leave. She saw Dillan sleeping on the floor and left him. Before she left she kissed his cheek. She grabbed her backpack and headed out the door. When she got outside it was pitch black out. She couldn’t see anything, unless it was under a streetlight.
She began to walk down the sidewalk. She had always walked home alone on a few occasions. This was nothing different. The dark didn’t scare her or so she thought. All of a sudden she heard a noise from behind her. She jumped scared. She looked around and didn’t see anything. Her heart started to beat faster. She kept walking trying to get it out of her memory.
She heard the noise again. As she turned around nothing was there. She faced forward and someone had stepped in front of her. He was facing her, showing his sharp teeth at her. He grinned as she opened her mouth to scream. He placed his hand over her mouth.
“The name is Lucifer. I believe you have something I want.” He had said with a slight sly forming on his lips. He took his hand off as someone had walked by. The other had run over to them. He stood looking at them. He then pushed Lucifer away from Lauren.
“Lauren stay back.” He had commanded her to do.
“Matt, don’t!” She hesitated some as she stepped backwards. She darted into a nearby alleyway. Lucifer pushed Matt to the ground and chased after Lauren. He had her cornered now. She had no way out. She screamed but no one came. She hid in a corner when Lucifer grabbed her.
As he held her up by the neck, trying to choke her, Matt ran in and pushed Lucifer against a wall. Matt started to punch Lucifer as Lucifer started to push Matt towards a wall. Lucifer took a blow to the head then punched Matt and killing him instantly. Lauren saw Matt die. She cried for help.
“Now stay still. This won’t hurt a bit.” Lucifer demanded as he walked toward her. She cried more in fear.
Lucifer grabbed her and threw her across the alley. He wanted her to suffer. She hit a wall and hit her head on the wall. She sat on the ground looking dizzily up at him.
Things she saw started to get fuzzy and dark. When suddenly she just blacked out and laid on the ground.
When she finally woke, no one was around her, or so she thought. She looked around her and saw a shadowy figure coming towards her. It was dark and no lights were around her. The figure reached out his hand for her to grab. ”Hey, you alright?”
She looked up and her eyes adjusted to the dark. She could finally see the figure clearly. It was Dillan, come to save the day. She smiled a little then felt a strong pain in the back of her head. She reached behind her feeling her head. She looked at her hand that had some blood on it from her hitting the wall.
“What are you doing out here? Are you alright?” Dillan had questioned worriedly as he help her up. She just looked at him with no reply.
When she finally replied, she had lied in order to keep her secret. “Just another night, where I can’t find my way home in the dark.” She looked at him and he smiled a little. She knew he didn’t believe her but she wanted to believe that he did.
Dillan took her back to her place and asked one final time. “What really happened tonight?” He waited for her to respond. Looking at her, he started to talk but she stopped him.
“Just another night, where I had to fight off a vampire in order to keep a friendship alive.” She had exclaimed to him. She looked at his face as she spoke. She knew what was coming up next.
“If you don’t want to tell me then just say so. Don’t make up stories.” He put his arm around her smiling. He walked her home. She held onto him as they walked as she
looked around her she noticed something. A note was on a building, that only Lauren could see. The note was written in blood and read: I’ll get you, when you least expect it. She was scared but felt safe being in Dillan’s arms that night.
