    dotsthe fish that dyes a purple cloakdots

    you are the perch
    inside me
    where i linger still
    & pass the ripened stones
    of hope
    from one part of my life
    to another.

    i have recorded you
    with godly precision,
    each fruit of you
    that shows its black eyes
    like shiny bird poems
    through a smokey mirror.

    & i have known each meadow
    in your landscape
    & every blade of grass therein.
    & each one
    holds a piece of you
    where time's destroyed
    & memory
    becomes more perfect than air.

    each syllable of your name
    sounds like mine
    repeated to the beat
    of some forgotten child heart
    that hangs out in the ghettos
    of my chest,
    aching to get back
    the ghostly morals
    from the ether.

    each curve of bone
    strides like nettles
    through perky storms
    in summer.
    everyone seems to ignore
    your blue rings for seeing
    & your hands
    made from the lavender
    of always.

    my mind melts
    at the thought
    of every star that kissed
    the lips of the all-mighty
    with some pagan force
    that drives the seeds
    down through the roots
    & onward towards freedom.

    i wish to know release
    in the milky face of living,
    to have the fuschine
    stripped from the bleeding
    everything around me.
    i watch as even my words
    pearl off the paper
    like tiny cranes
    through a forceful wind.

    on past the pupils
    of my forgotten eye
    & gone...
