Description: This piece is based on an inside joke between myself and one of my best friends that at the time of my death, a black hole will form and consume the earth.
While it is based on a joke, this is actually a serious piece and will probably be the last song on the album I'm working on.
I know that it's difficult to imagine a lyrical piece without the music, but I'd still like to know what the reader thinks.
I'm basically trying to set the stage for the last moments on earth. As the protagonist of the album is dying, he sees the black hole that is forming as the only way the entire world will ever be united. I must admit to borrowing a bit of Lennon's "Imagine" to add to the sarcasm of this piece.
"One moment left to live in
but nobody knows the time."
My favorite line of the whole thing. I could see this as a song. I think that this is a bit haunting without being hokey.
Very good on that. I am not sure that the music from imagine is right for this. I am thinking of a song, and I know it would be perfect, but the name eludes me at the moment.
Best of luck on your album. This was anifty piece.
