A loud crunch resounded
along a blood curdling scream,
a dark chamber of torture,
a nightmarish dream.
Deathly laughs of insane,
echoing down the hall,
the torches along the fright,
illuminating all.
Claw marks among the blood,
desperate prisoners howl,
sound of whips on skin,
a putrid blood gone afoul.
Collars;
taming empty shells of man,
prominent sanity disembodied,
although skin deep it ran.
Bitter copper flavor abounds,
leaving many a'tongues palette dissolved,
a desperate need for escape called out,
although the essence of the prey had been resolved.
Long foretold destruction ,
amongst the human race,
against the grievances of our "sin",
our kind - to them - a disgrace.
We survive on pure instinct,
living within our flaws,
because we ran such amok,
a just reason for their cause.
