Pause for a moment
the moment that it takes
To make you Smile
My time, Twists, another memory
close your eyes as I unlock the door
and I sing,
remind me, of a time,
you once had
when a lonesome dove
had come to sing
Sounds so pretty
when the doves cry
their cry of love.
It starts with a flutter
a memory of love.
Times clock chimes!
Heaven sent far above
A withered sunrise
lies beyond, this journey
In my generations
time has taken me
lost in the eyes of society
Love taken for granted and or
loss to human ignorance
of then and now
Talking from the other side of me
these memories and moments
soothe our soul’s fire
Sounds so pretty
the voice of a dove
sing from me a melody
of your heart
Fly high to the sky
Stand outside yourself and sing
look inside to the spirit
that takes you onward
to challenge yourself
and finish your journey
Time never tells
what lies ahead of us?
Heaven or so they say
is beyond the clouds
Say your prayers
Oh beautiful one
White as snow and gracefully play
to a better place in my soul
Life they say is all but a dream
When you die you then awaken
to take your journey onward
The gates of hell open
A sinner or a soldier
that’s lost their pride are taken
to stand alone in darkness
The wheels of life keep turning
faster and deeper into darkness
Once in silence, the deeper your fall
into the spirit world of your new tomorrow
When you crossover
so many people are caught
by the promise of the promise land
Pay the preacher
as you rise above the rest
Never knowing how to get there
other than dying
Life has so many challenges
to many choices to learn from
Remember the faces of your loved ones
one too many questions
go unanswered to and from
my days with Christ
Once again here I am freestanding
In the eyes of Jesus
Lost you once a time or two ago
Fly high, fly free
My dove and caress me
With our beautiful song
Walk with me as I stand
In the face of a free man
lost my soul’s harp
when wandering outside my body
A fallen son
in the eyes of my peers
Sandman found me walking
in the sands of death
We talked to Jesus
the one who carried me, across this desert
take me once, take me twice
my old friend, I’ve awaken
Many years I’ve been
Pushing that stone from the hill
my Celtic cross
bares no other than my name
Windswept secrets
my death’s dove sings from me
sounds so pretty!
Caress
the picture that life
has created inside of me
Death’s door opened
I’ve answered its calling
once, twice maybe one other
Restless thoughts stir my slumber
when I wander back in time
my beast is running
to consume my dove
The devil turns me ignorant to love
scorn me! burn me!
my dove is crying
from inside my soul
Sounds so pretty
no love song ever written
sounds like this
When a dove cries
with no vocals
A gift of life
given me at my crossroads
of wandering, to and from death’s door
A dove’s soul
the spirit of a man
buried by the Kings
of the promise land
has returned
to leave you these memoirs!
