Chapter 5: The Goodbye by Fallyn Angel

A few days have past and Brendon goes to Jill’s house for one last visit. He goes over in the tour bus and jumps out. He is slightly on the said side. He walks up to the door and looks down. He knows what he has to do and can’t do it. He raises his hand to knock. As he is doing so the door opens and Jill comes out smiling and laughing. She bumps right into him.

She look up into his eyes and smiled more. “Hey you!” She kissed his lips. “I was just leaving to go see you actually.” She nodded and looked behind him then lost her smile. “Why is the bus here? Are you leaving today?” She shook her head. “Tell me I’m wrong. Tell me I’m just imagining it.”

He looked down and wasn’t sure what to say to her. He held her tight in his arms and didn’t let go. “I’m leaving today. I can’t lie to you. I’m gunna miss you so much.” He let a tear fall on her head as he closed his eyes.

She held onto him and closed her eyes holding onto him tighter. She began to cry some. “You can’t just leave me like this. I’ll be lost without you here. Please don’t go. I’m begging you.” She cried more on his shirt.

He held onto her and kissed the top of her head. “I can’t not go. I’m the lead singer and I have to go. I’m sorry Jill but I have to. I’ll be lost without you as well but I’ll be back in a few months I promise. Will you walk me over to the bus?”

She nodded and held onto him. She wiped her tears and didn’t say a word as she walked at his side. He stayed silent as well. He didn’t want to upset her anymore. They got to the bus and he turned to her.

He smiled at him and stopped crying. “Everything will be fine. It’s not goodbye. It’s just a See you later.” He leaned down and kissed her lips.

She kissed him back and nodded. She started crying some and then he wiped away her tears.

He looked at him and started to walk backwards. “I’ll miss you so much Jill. Be strong for me. I’ll be back for you. When I come back I’m gunna ask you to marry me.”

She looked down not knowing what to say. She turned away from the bus as he got on it. He didn’t look back. It was too painful for them both.

The bus began to leave and Jill walked towards the house slowly and crying. The bus stopped all of a sudden. The door opened and Jill turned around hearing the door open. Out of the bus came running Brendon. He ran over to her and held her in his arms.

He smiled some and held her tightly. “I’m not leaving without you. You’re coming with me. I don’t care what the guys say. I love you and you’re coming with me.” He kissed her on the lips.

She kissed him back and smiled a little. She shook her head. “I can’t go. I’m not even packed for a trip.”

He smiled at her and laughed some. “Then we’ll wait for you to pack. I’ll even help you pack. You won’t regret coming with us. You will have a blast and you can sleep in my bed.” He nodded and held her more. “I want this more than anything. Please say you’ll come. It’ll make me the happiest guy in the world. In the universe.”

She giggled some and held onto. “If I say yes will you stop squeezing me?”

He shook his head. “Never, but you just have to come.”

She nodded smiling. “Yes, I’ll go on the tour with you guys. You’ve convinced me and I don’t want you to let go of me.”

He nodded and smiled more. “Good because I’m never letting you go or out of my sight. You can count on it.” He smiled and leaned down and kissed her lips smiling more.

She kissed him back smiling and looked up at him. “That was some goodbye I guess. You came back earlier than expected.” She giggled some.

He started laughing some and looked at her. “I know but I said I’d be back for you and I did come back. I can’t stand to be away form you and I can’t stand to hurt you. I’m the happiest guy in the universe right now.” He smiled and picked her up in his arms.

She held onto him and kissed his lips one more time.
