dotsthe other side of the butterflydots
    -------------------------------------------

    For the Blue Morpho
    one side is iridescent blue
    the other is brown
    almost like a moth

Some might say that the brown side
    Is deceptive
    or maybe just drab

    the fact that the morpho
    cannot see it's shining brilliance
    suggests not deceit
    perhaps-- ignorance

    Or maybe he's just fine
with the side he keeps to himself
and offended by others being so
    captivated by him
only when he turns to leave.

okay you used butterfly in the title....but so what...this is really different..the two sides, drab and brilliant...but the drab side might just be hiding brilliance....sometimes we really misjudge by what is on the outside..

there could be brilliance on the inside...something really worth getting that net and chasing into the sunset.

Nice job here. I like the way you take a clichéd subject and address it anew.

Only mistake I saw was misspelling 'deceit' in line 10.

Peace, love and all that other junk,

    Joe

Despite your explanation I still think I was spot on with my previous comment. It's freaky things like the Morpho that creationists press forward to advance their agenda. I'm not sure what exactly their agenda is, but it's obviously important to them, like poetry is important to the poet, and is as much an agenda of sorts.

    Sieg Heil.
