he sun blazed over head, perspiration slid down the hot body of the two men, Rudak swung the wooden sword around to hit the angry browed man who fought him. The practice sword hit with a soft thud, the man stumbled off the plank of wood and tumbled into the mud below. A cheer erupted from the crowd as hands hauled the competetor out of the mud, Rudak tossed the practice sword to one side, and turned to try walk off the plank but hit something that felt like a wall, looking up he saw a tall man, older than he, bear to the waist as in the dueling fashion of the village, this man was definately an outsider, "What do you want traveler?" Rudak asked the man biterly.
"I.
wish to fight you" the man replied camly, this was when Rudak noticed the wooden practice sword held firmly in the mans hands.
"I
aint facing no big old men." Rudak replied, this was greeted with a roar of laughter from the crowd.
"Then.
would you do when greated by a troll?" he asked "Or maybe a herd of them?" he continued, "their vision may be short but their smell and hearing is better than.." Here he was cut off by laughter from the crowd.
"You.
aint gunna find no trolls or herds round 'ere" with this Rudak spat down into the mud where it held as if the mud was firm.
