    -------------------------------------------

    You drive your nails deep
    They sink to their hilts
    Sending chills through my spine
    My spirit begins to melt

I shrug it off, I've learnt to cope
That blood and skin you stole
You can keep it, I don't need it
Doesn't take much to make me whole

Those chills I ignore and I smile despite
    My spirit can fade away
I'll still manage to be alright
    Smile again another day

    Don't break a nail
    Digging through my wounds
    Put me through hell
    Your darkness presumes

I'll let you get your laugh
    I'll pretend I'm hurting so
    You won't know the difference
    Your heart may remain cold

    My scars are but memories
They show the pain of my past
    No use reliving it all
The wounds have healed at last
