Poetry to me is freedom.
Freedom to get away-
away from life itself.
I write at any time-
When I'm happy.
When I'm sad.
Even when I'm mad.
It just makes me feel as if-
someone actually cares.
Cares how I'm feeling at that very moment-
when everyone else fails to be there.
Although people only read my words-
just doing that shows me you care.
Most people don't understand why-
and what i write about.
And honestly-
I don't expect you to.
Just read it.
And it'll mean a lot.
Because poetry-
is my freedom.
To escape this confusing world-
to something I know and understand.
