For awe the ways, an awe the days
We laughed sae braw an fine
A memory, is there tae see
Thit's yours as weel as mine

For awe the fun, through rain or sun
    Oor smiles wur always there
A wave a glance, by fate or chance
    Sae often we did share

For awe the times, ah wrote ye rhymes
An sent them tae yer mail
Ah hope tae say, they made yer day
An wur high upon yer scale

For awe the work' we used tae shirk
    Oor patter it wis slick
We played along, wae rhyme an song
Till we wur split up quick

For awe that space, through luck or grace
    It never mattered much
Wae sight or sound, a way wis found
    Tae always keep in touch

For awe the thought, oh fun or not
    A wonder leaves a trace
Of whit wis so, an did we know
    The looks upon oor face

So, for awe ah’ll tell, ah wish ye well
As we part wae sadness deep
An as time dis pass, sweet bonnie lass
    Such memories we wull keep

This is absolutely delightful, and the scottish accent makes it terriffic! How I would love to have this recited to me in a native brogue!!

It has the kind of lyric and rythmn that makes one skip as they walk, and smile as tho it were a sunny day! Excellent work, my friend!
