I was looking at the grass and this popped out. Tell me what you think. I think it's pretty mediocre, but kinda nice.

Ode To My Lawn dots

-------------------------------------------

Brushing aside one another
Feeling the passion of the earth

Connected as one
Through a complex system

Playfully moving, independently
And welcoming the energies above them

Cut them down
They will be back in no time, happy

We keep them with us
Near our dull houses

To watch them with satisfaction
As they sway passionately

Interweaving deliberately, artfully
The lovely blades of grass

  I found this unique and well done. Your style was simple, and I felt it could've used a bit more in terms of "substance" but the comedy and uniqueness of your message alleviates all those worries. Ive always kind of thought of grass in a negative context, always having to mow it as a chore, it scratching at my feet and skin, making them ich ever so slightly, hiding bugs and things. But you bring it into a new light, and really show the beauty in all those individual sharp little blades of grass coming together and performing a sort of coordinated ballet together. The imagery was nice, pleasant, and offered me a new perspective. Thanks for the read.

  i like this. It has an unusualness about it. Though not about the lawn,per se, it sort of gives an individuality to the ones which make up the whole. When I see my grass swayuing in the wind I know its time to mow those fast growing scoundrels down. They must think I'm lazy and in need of exercise. Perhaps someday I'll get so mad and cover them all with mulch then plant the whole thing in landscaping plants, but that too is labor intensive. Oh well ! Can't win from losing !
