Description: I wrote this in Algebra class my freshman year of high school. For any of you that don't know, "ennui" means "boredom".
Ennui -------------------------------------------
Been sitting here
Waiting impatiently
Fading away
Been bored out of my mind
Which is digging
Eating at my thoughts
Which makes no sense
Because I can't think
Been keeping everything
Bottled up inside
But there are some things that you just can't hide
And now I can't wait anymore
I'm sick of sitting still
Been fidgeting
Doodling
Trying to think
Can't keep my attention on anything
There goes my mind
They say that my attention span is alarmingly low
But I act exactly the same as
Everybody else
Been excluded
Been ignored
Been restless
Been bored
Been thinking
But I can't think
Been day-dreaming
But I can't dream
