"The Ayatollah escaped, but the situation was taken care of. Aerial Alex was able to kill the Ayatollah's military head."
General Kelborn walked alongside his superior, the global leader, High General Sergei Romanov. "Still General, the Ayatollah escaped...where might he fall back to?" Kelborn thought for a moment. "Possibly Baghdad, we know he has a strong following there." The High General nodded. "Declare Martial Law and ready the riot police. "Yes, sir."
Alex fell back onto his bed and sighed. It had been nine years since the criminal group called HAMMER had reorganized into the Hammer Party, and had one the Russian Presidential election, then civil war had followed. Alex had lived through it all, hell he had fought through it all. Now, the world was united under Romanov. "How was Tehran?" He looked up to see Serena, a fellow Aerial. "Hell, but the Legion ha sit under control." Serena sighed. "The Ayatollah just never gives up. They say the action is gonna swing to Baghdad now." Alex sat up and shrugged. "They'll probably send you or Ben, I was told I'm being shipped to Berlin." Serena laughed and walked out of the room. "Boring old Berlin! Have fun Al!"
"General Hayden, Aerial 11463 reporting for duty."
"Sit down Al, we have a lot to discuss and little time to discuss it."
Alex took a seat along the wall. General John Hayden stood by the window, he ran a hand through his short gray hair and sat. "Al, when you get to Berlin, you'll be under Colonel Farris's command...do everything he says, without question. When the time comes, he'll explain."
"But sir, I'm an Aerial, a soldier, I'll have to follow his orders anyway unless they're...treasonous." Hayden looked distraught. He stood up and motioned for Alex to join him at the window. What Alex saw, left his mouth open and his eyes wide. Outside, in the Market Square, protesters, unarmed protesters, sat in a large circle. The riot police stood in a single file line, then they charged. Alex turned away, as did General Hayden. "Expect to see that in Berlin Al, expect to help Farris avoid that." |
