    Harpooned my heart.
No longer free to fish the sea -
    Not a bit hungry.

      You've certainly learned haiku well!
I enjoyed this, and especially liked the ending.
    Wonderfully done!

      I don't think it's haiku, is it?

Phil, what a funny little poem. Your poem is about the proverbial fish in a gilded .... aquarium?

with the absence of a spent shell I would imagine there was a change of heart to marry him at gunpoint , thus the longing was over and hunger for love was gone.

Interesting Haiku, I take it its about finally finding someone to steal your heart, and realizing that you dont miss the days of fishing, dating, screwing, etc. You appear more than happy to settle down with the someone in question. I like it, its happy, its optimistic. Glad you found yourself a sliver of happiness, and I agree with your decision to clamp down hard on it, and appreciate it the way it deserves to be appreciated.
