forgive the silence that we share
for it is the only thing i would dare impart
my fears so often holds me
afraid to unleash what needs to be free
these scars tell stories
that my mouth has yet to sing
though mended it aches for yesterday's break
it prays for salvation through tomorrow wake
off the cliffs i extend myself
as these words all pray for an end
it would take more than stiff lips to contain
these messages that my body has failed to explain
so would these words recede chance?
