    -------------------------------------------

Susanna was to have an abortion. Her pregnancy, she thought, would get in the way of her climbing up the corporate ladder.
Thelma also wanted an abortion. Her pregnancy as a single mother would cause her to lose her house since the cost of mortgage and cost of delivery could not be met.
Germaine, as a teenager, also wanted an abortion. She did not wish for her peers to know that she had been permiscuous.
They all sort counselling. They did not like the idea of facing up to the responsibility of their mutual consentual act.
They did not believe that the baby growing in their womb could possibily ever significantly advance the sciences, arts or media. They had read that some famous persons were scheduled for abortion but their mothers had cancelled the operation.
Susanna,Thelma and Germaine had their abortions
Susanna was demoted from her position . Management concluded that she had the ability to cover up for mistakes and to even hide important matters.
Thelma lost her home. The company she worked for went bankrupt. It was discovered that she was diverting company profits in order to support her lifestyle. Her complications of abortion amounted to hospital costs of $175,000.78.
Germaine was committed to an asylum. Her peers all forsook her. They saw that she was untrustworthy of their friendship.
Wrongful means of protecting selfworship always create greater fires than Hell.
Wrongful means of stopping natural processes always produce reactions contrary to nature. Nature always demands love and respect for its protective safe keeping. All this is wrapped up so neatly in the phyche of mind, soul and body. It matters not whether one has religion or none, it is individual actions which knocks nature off skelter . Nature is always demanding in its concept of trustworthiness.

    * Susanna,Thelma and Germaine are aliases picked by the author. All similaries to any person living or dead is purely coincidental.

Hmm this story seems to have a slight anti-abortion slant to it. Neat!

Firstly, I like how you use three wonderfully extreme and fictional cases to make the case against abortion. Fiction does provide the best evidence!

Secondly, it's pretty damn cool how you use "nature" to justify your moral position. That said, dying of illness is a natural phenomenon and so perhaps all those medicines are immoral, stopping those "natural processes". And that whole farming thing is manipulating nature for our benefit! Why would we even have to do that if nature was a trustworthy force of good always looking out for us?? Could it be that nature is both good and bad and humans aren't the only source of horrible things. Therefore, simply calling abortion against nature doesn't really have much power as a criticism on its own. Lucky we still have those emotive tragic stories!!

Thirdly, the Stoics of Ancient Greece thought that virtue was living with the divine order of nature. It seems quite similar to what you're preaching. That is pretty retro and so mega cool. I love archaic philosophy!

    Love of love,
    Adam
