    I apologize so much these days
    Trying to spare your 'feelings'
    It doesn't even have a meaning any more
    "I'm sorry" I mumble again,
    I'm sorry I woke up
    I'm sorry I talked to you,
    That I didn't get your coke before you asked
    I apologize for not getting you a cigarette before you finished hacking up your lungs when you first wake up
    And that I don't know what sorry means any more.
    I'm sorry for snapping back at you for yelling me.
    Sorry for not really being sorry.
    I don't love you anymore.
    But,
    I can't say that, cause I'd just have to say Sorry
    Again.

      This makes me think of the girl that just ended it with me. We were together on and off for five years. The last time we got together, I told her, "This is it. If this doesn't work, we don't work." About a month in, I realized it wouldn't work. I just knew it. But, I felt so bad about it that I couldn't be the one to end it. So, I waited for her to do it(which she eventually did). When she was at her worst, when it really wasn't my fault, when she just threw blame for the sake of doing it, I just said, "I'm sorry." And, it never meant anything. It had the same feeling as would be portrayed in saying, "Grass is green." I hope you come to something of a less detrimental situation.
