What wondrous creature is thee,
The forest buzz stops as everything flee,
One paw in front of the other,
The weak all hide in cover,
Terrified screeches and muffled shouts,
Everything's quiet when the tiger's out,
Look into the tigers eye,
It will tell the fear it spy, it your eye,
The vicious snarl and vampire fangs,
On which all its preys last life hangs,
The powerful movement subdues your own,
Until you and the tiger are all alone,
Lithe and strong all at the same time,
Nothing at all like yours or mine,
Don't try to escape, not like you can get away,
The most you can do is stay at bay,
And when the tiger is out looking for a meal,
Stay out of its path, unless you want to know how those fangs feel. |
