Goodbye, Reaper,
A divorce is demanded.
But he refuses to let go of my hand.
As the moon glistens softly over dark waters,
I slip from the bed beside my old lover
Pack my heart, mind and soul
And leave him dancing in a dream of awe.
Departure sets my body free—
And the cuffs of despair melt when I notice a light—
A light standing atop a hill outside my wedlock home.
With a smile spread across my face,
I run;
Run far away—
Into the arms of the light—
My new lover.
