Our eyes see and hear all that happens,
They record it for further use.
From watching a child be born to this world,
To witness a form of abuse.
Our glassy marbles that hold in the sea,
We take them for granted too often.
They can speak volumes with a glance or a wink,
And make even frigid hearts soften.
They are beautiful jewels that sparkle and shine.
More precious than all the world's gold.
And if you peer harder they become window panes,
Which reveal the true depths of their soul.
They show more emotion than the rest of our bodies
So when next someone tells you "Hello",
If you truly desire to know how they're feeling
Just look in their eyes and you'll know.
