Grey monotonous blotches pepper a faded blue canvas
Struggling to veil golden lances, from Autumn’s flickering trance
Elder oaks waver and whisper, upon the silent hymn of the wind
Speckled shadows stain browned skins of trees, crunching, clicking; I had no leads.
Trekking onward with thoughts entwined, whirlwinds of my unkempt mind
African drums bear my bubble of bliss—
Though ignorance encumbers this
Vagrant souls in stark gaping lines: masquerade of past’s charade.
Chants ring out in sardonic, fiddled tones; harp rings of lover’s tomes.
Craving for that specter touch—of love—
Angelic beauty; pallid and isolated—framed in a cloudy, star speckled October sky.
Cosmic mystery that reflects gothic tendency
The moon.
Angel’s candle in my night; flickering jack-o-lantern flame
Intellect and beauty, beneath scars and shadows
I travel through the vales and meadows
And dance in the melting petals of moonlight—
Pouring light in my dark hallows
