Chapter 1: Remember
Mao Chan was in the first precincts’ office of the Bejing Police Department being questioned about an incident she could not remember suddenly. It happened only 1 day ago.
“Ma’am? Ma’am?” Chan suddenly fainted and went out cold. “We have to get this woman to a hospital ASAP!” The precinct called a hospital.
“Hello?” “Yes, I would like an ambulance and paramedics at 4444 Fuwa Circle, for an unconscious female estimated to be at least 6 feet tall in the interrogation room, ASAP!”
The person who made the call fidgeted for as long as the ambulance was traveling towards the police station.
The ambulance finally arrived.
The paramedics put Chan on a stretcher.
Later at the hospital, The officer who interrogated Chan was in her hospital room and Chan woke up.
“Ms. Chan”, the man asked. “Are you alright?” “Where am I?” Mao asked while under sedation.
“You are in the hospital,” The man said. “Why?” Mao asked. “You fainted suddenly.” The officer said.
“Before resuming interrogation, the officer said. “We should let you rest and be discharged”, the man continued.
The officer then left.
Slowly over the past few days, Mao regained part of her memory lost by sudden amnesia.
