A simple poem for our school teachers on 'Teachers' Day

    dotsTo Our Teachersdots

We are truly fortunate, dear teachers,
To have you to look up to,
To seek your guidance for the future,
To have the joy of knowing you.

Many values you have taught us -
    Hardwork, love, courage and prudence.
Filled with gratitude, we do say, thus -
"We're proud to be your students!"

May your days be blessed and joys be doubled,
For all the good things you have taught.
And, though, sometimes, by us, you have been troubled,
We do love you a lot!

The games and pranks were clever,
    You shared our fun in many ways;
That's why we Xavierites shall ever
Cherish each moment of our school days.

Yes, we are so very privileged
    To have teachers like you.
    God bless you, dearest teachers
And may all your dreams come true!

This is excellent, Megan! How one so young as you can manage to write such eloquent poems is amazing! This is very well done, and a fine tribute to those unsung heroes (heroines) who have contributed so much to each of our lives!

    Bravo, pretty lady!

Wow. It's nice to see someone appreciate teachers now instead of later on in life. Most take school for granted counting down the days until they graduate the minute they hit high school. But then you leave and realize just how safe you were you begin to want to go back. Life is cruel. Cherish every day you have at school with your friends and even your enemies. Because before you know it, it will be nothing but memories.

Great poem. I can tell you enjoy school, which is a great quality to have. Am I right in guessing you probably have good grades?

anyway, I hope you are going to show this to your teachers. Especially the ones you look up to most and who inspire you to be what ever it is you want to be.

    Great write!
