Destroy the Ties that Bind -------------------------------------------
Everything she says is like a gun to my temple
I can't pull away or she'll squeeze the trigger
She's falling apart in my very arms
But there's no way to keep me from harm
Her words are acid burning my skin
Ripping me apart from the outside in
She lights me on fire with her lazer beam eyes
She's the reason I carry on with my lies
She gave me this life that I choose to destroy
The world is my playground, her heart my toy
And as blood rains down from the skies above
I'm breaking the bonds of my mother's love
Amazing. This had so much meaning and feeling in three paragraphs. You did a wonderful job. From the beginning it sounds as if it's a tale of two lovers when in fact it is the separation from a mother.
The details were exquisite and fit perfectly for this type of poem. It was obviously heartfelt and meaningful. I felt it. Good Job.
