Empty sheets of paper A half full fountain pen Possibilities existing With no end Like the roads that you travel To where you go from where you been Are the ones will lead you Back home again But Im not here for trouble Not for cause or effect Not here to decide Whats right from what is left Dont ask for my guess Yours is as good as mine The same lights that shine Might also make you blind. And wont you come sing along Wont you come sing my song When the day is as short As the night is long How can you tell whats right From what is wrong I'm not here to say What's bad from what is good I only hope my words Don't twist and get misunderstood I drank the wine of the rich And the beer of the poor Come to find everybody Everywhere just wants something more Some fly their flags Out in the foreign lands The unseen hand that guides Has us under its command There are ones who fight the Ones protesting the war Cuz if there ain't a reason Nothing is what they die for And wont you come sing along Wont you come sing my song When the day is as short As the night is long How can you tell whats right From what is wrong We're strangers that meet On sidewalks on the street Believing everything we see Expect for when senses deceive Lets blur the line between What is you and me And not tell the difference Between a flame and its heat. And wont you come sing along Wont you come sing my song When the day is as short As the night is long How can you tell whats right From what is wrong |
