I had wished I knew that it was I that was to be taking care of this creature. He looked at me with unnerving excitement as if he knew it served a greater purpose. I looked down to see how my feet were, they hurt a great deal from the walk, so when I sat down to look, the feeling went away, I knew something was wrong. I looked, and it so happened that my feet were actually decaying. As I looked my body over, I noticed my whole body was following the process. I felt fine. Nex looked at me realizing what was happening.
“I see you have noticed your transformation, this happens with all great Necromancers. Slowly your body decays to display your raw magic, and ability to define death.” He said.
“When will this stop?” I asked.
“For a while, it will continue on and on, until you eventually turn into a walking corpse. The living will recognize your power, and the dead will respect your image.” He explained.
I will forever remember this day as the day I died.
After Nex left, the creature stepped forward. “I am Branek. I also use to be a Necromancer. Nex resurrected me after a deadly battle. I was given to you to be somewhat a guide for you. Any questions you have, just please ask.” He said.
“Well, it is my understanding that I am somewhat different from other Necromancers.” I replied.
“And how so may I ask?”
“Well, Necromancers don’t normally kill people, or at least that is what I heard, I do not rape bodies, and I do not wish to be known as someone whom practices black magic.” I said humbly.
“Well, let me give you a little something made by myself. Some of the things in this scroll, you will already know. But it has some common misconceptions of Necromancers.” He said.
He went to the side and pulled out a bottle from the side, and gave it to me. I continued to open it, and read.
