I found a wall covered in mist, a wall i had not noticed before. The wall of my existence. The wall that stood against me but had not been seen as an obstacle untill just recently. I have spent my life walking through a land that is comfortable and known to me. A world that has no boundaries, or so I thought. I have walked along this wall studying it for weaknesses. This wall reaches to the sky as high as the eye can see, and streches to the unknown waters of consciousness on either side.It is as hard as Granite, yet as beautiful as Marble. It is studded with Diamonds and Emeralds, as well as Coal and Slate. From it's facade protrudes glass, as broken and jagged as my "Id." It cannot be climbed. It is as hard as my "Ego." Just there, a sparrow, flitters from place to place." You must find The Door " he says, " you cannot go around for the waters are deep and full of the Flesh-Eaters, And You cannot go over for the glass drips with the poisons of folley." I know this sparrow. He is my "Highest self," unbound, unabridged, and as free to fly as the wind is to blow. The Door is gilded in Gold and Silver, and only She has the Key," he tells me. I searched far and long untill I found this Door, perfectly placed between both unseen ends. "Of course," I thought, "What better a place for such a door!" Then I sat to wait.
In the distance I see myself, that is to say who I was. Here I feel myself sitting, as I am now. Through The Door I hear my voice calling me to come, be what I will be. I turn back to look over the vast plain which I once waundered, and now see two figures. One is my past and he follows Her as she passes gracefully by. He does not know why, but he is obviously enthrawled. As they approach, I stand, as she tosses back the hair from her face, instantly my heart stops and I go numb. I have seen Infinity. There we are, the three, as I embrace him as if to say hello to a long missed friend, we become one. I turn to her as she looks to the sparrow for guidence as to what the next action should be. He gestures to me, and I turn slowly to The Door.
She steps in front of me and pulls from her blouse a Key with a handle af pure crystal. She unlocks The Door, and as She turns the knob, I stop her. I am apprehensive. I do not know if this is as far as she can venture, and I cannot bare the thought of having to leave her behind. As she looks in my eyes, brushing my face gently. she urges me forward.
I open The Door, and as it swings, through flies the sparrow. A rush of Jasmine, Lillac, Lavender, and many, many other scents and sights spring forth to meet our path. I grasp her hand tight, and squeeze my eyes shut as I pull her through with me. I open my eyes, and there beside me, she remains, smilling with divine purity. I watch her hand as it rises and points to an Oak Tree, under which sits yet another me, the sparrow on his sholder, singing sweetly, as he waves to us to come to him. On this walk I feel all the fears and worries of my life melt away like snow on a summer day. He stands, handing something unseen to her, then pulls my head to meet with his and is gone. Instantly, I know my life is complete. Past, Present, and Future in perfect flux. I Learn From my Past, Experience the Present, and have Knowledge for my Future. All that is left to do in this wide new world before Her and I, is to go forth and sow our seeds of happiness, root ourselves in this world we have created, and live for what may come in the days ahead of us.
This is my Sumerland, the Fields of Nephilium, My waking Dreamtime, Our Mount Olympus. I AM HERS, AND SHE IS MINE,. WE ARE AS ONE. This is our world in which we live in perfection. May all look upon us with envy and know that our struggles have been overcome, not in vain, but in the success of the heart. All that comes our way can be overcome and will be with the FULL FORCE of OUR LOVE.
