    -------------------------------------------

The deepest root of ones well being
    they put themself there
to keep there self straight, when
another self is wandering inside them

Ask yourself this, are you afraid
to see the model you role?
the role model you have set
begins with a look at yourself

    From here I sit, watching
a face reappear, thats seems to have
    been missing for years
years have passed the voice says
    to many I reply
too many, way to many the voice sighs
    and says
I have not wept with this spirit
    in years

    Behind the eyes of life
    I've been hiding my face
    in my solitude state
no one can touch me in here, see me
    or walk along side me

I fear for them as our return is near
    from the coveth of darkness
    the face reappears

    solitude the gracious gift
I pass to you as the other

A dark and brooding work of self examination, nicely and very deftly done poem, and just mysterious enough to keep ups guessing a tad... bravo!

Great write this one. I felt a connection with the writer while reading it. I feel like that too lately, although I'm constantly surrounded by people, I feel lonely.

"to keep there self straight, when
another self is wandering inside them"

These lines are pure genius! Keep up the good work!

      Hey Sandman;
It's been awile since I read your stuff. THis one like all of yours is so thought-provoking and multi-leveled. I especially liked the last 2 lines:

    "solitude the gracious gift
I pass to you as the other "

Additionally the part aboput being a role model... that is something many of the young people today miss. I especially liked the way you incorporated this bit of wisdom into your piece.

    Great job my friend

    Your friend in Christ
    Ben
