you stabbed my soul before i could scream and
    left your bloody fingerprints on
all of the film in my memory.
a locked room mystery with just one catch:
    you had the key.

paint the pretty white roses red
and adjust your crown of broken
glass so that every body knows
just who the winner is. deal out
your diamonds as i swallow my
    shards of self respect. please,
    donít worry, just leave me
bleeding here and go off to find
    another victim of your innocent
fun and mind games. prey and
pray alike because we all know
who is going home tonight. my
    heartís expiration date has come
at last, and i bleed, i bleed. itís
    seeping through my fingers but
you can't see it because you were
never there. you never cried until
the blood ran down your face or
swore at the clouds who couldn't
save you or closed your eyes and
listened to your heart beat and
beat and wish that it would just stop.

    god at his typewriter.
    manically depressed,
    but a brilliant writer nonetheless.
