Description: Nothing personal, just sort of came to me. Strange how when you aren't feeling anything particular at all is when words creep up on you and take hold. I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with the book I'm reading, but who could be sure.
Angel of Mercy -------------------------------------------
Angel of mercy
Find my broken wings
Angel of mercy
Heal all things
Spiralling downward
Beyond control
Soul
Trapped in fates tight clench
The closeness of Hell's acidic stench
Angel of mercy
Hold me tight
Angel of mercy
I fear the night
Looking above
And so below
Gaurdian angel
Forgetting to show
She's gone now
Brittle and broken
Porcelin shattered
Heart never to be awoken
Endless slumber befalls
Angel of mercy
Break down the bearing walls
Angel of mercy
She can't see
Heaven's gates
Sealed so tight
Hell's endless glow
Lost in the night
Purgatory
Something she shouldn't know
Angel of mercy
How could it be?
Angel of mercy
Is that lost girl me?
Hello, thanks so much for the comment. I have altered the title. Yup I agree with Haely, this poem does flow very well it also has that hint of desperateness felt when searching for a certain respite........
This was written very well. It flowed well, the rhyme was consistant (in the parts where rhyme was placed), and the imagery was very good. I've often written poems that had nothing to do with my life. Just inpspired by something I was doing. Usually better than the poems that I write for me.
Hmm..
Anyway I'm rambling... This was a great poem. I loved.
Keep up the awesome work, and I'll keep reading
