An Introverts Extroversion -------------------------------------------
Peering through both windows
with disdain of mortal thoughts
What swells of worth can conjur up
inside this room of wrought?
I've built it all from inward out with no secure design
Blueprints spawned from this one thought;
to avoid all sense of crime.
With winged prayers and heartfelt laughs
my base becomes my prime
But the walls were raised around me
in those instances of lies.
I draped the open windows
with curtains made by twine
twilled from deceit and false hopefulness
they filter love divine
I've built this place from inside out
to make my name be known.
the world would see what I have seen
through the windows of my home.
The plans have changed, more walls have raised,
more rooms to store the truth.
Packed away in closet space
where moths turn them to food.
Amidst these walls I work away,
constructing from night to day,
believing one day the work and fray
will be revealed in bold display.
I love this, it's so cleverly written. I really like the 2nd and 3rd sections with 5 lines, I rarely see that in poetry and it stood out. The rhyme scheme was great. What I gather from this is that you're building all these walls up, secluding your self in great detail...but it's that very design that wants recognition. The title is very fitting, in that case. Nice job :)
