Who in this world can "Know Thyself,"
When all they know is greed?
Who can use their power for good,
    If corruption is power's creed?

Who can say, "I love you."
    When they cannot love themself?
    What can good intentions do,
If you just put them on the shelf?

How come all I see is pain and grief,
    And never mirth or joy?
How can we keep our children safe,
    If violence is their toy?

Why is it that bad gets worse,
But good will ne'er get better?
Why is it we seem content
To stay bound by our fetters?

When did good folks get replaced
    By purely self-advancers?
How come all we get are questions,
    And never any answers?

I really like this...although a piece of it sounds like something I recently wrote too :P I guess we are just always on the same page, I miss you though, we should talk.

Are you still feeling this way? Because I've got an answer, I love you, and thats all you need to know.

I miss you hun, always. We never know all the answers though because the point of life is finding them out. The first step is letting life take you one step at a time and going along for the ride.

Did I tell you I really like this one? :)

Good rhyme here, though at times I found the beat a bit off. Still, a good read as it addresses the one true connection that all humans have...good questions. Really. Life questions.
Perhaps... there are answers, and pride blocks the truth from being seen. Perhaps the answers are so deep that most people cannot see them...because they are either not looking or are looking, but in the wrong place with the wrong attitude. They are controlled by fear of the unknown...a very unhealthy and wrong thing to fear. Even they are a slave to Fear.
    Think, friend.
Where do you think the answers to life's questions can be found? Who would know those answers and give them to you if your heart is in the right place?
Once you've found them...you will never ask why again. Your next question becomes "when?".
Hope you find what you're looking for.
And remember...peace is a priceless gift, but only for the humble ones.
