As the silence grows, so fades the unanswered call
Skin of a wolf, heart of an angel, yet like a demon falls
Questions mount yet go unanswered, proud eyes filled with tears
A hand reached out in friendship, which quickly turned to love,
The love became a heavenly bond, destiny above.
Yet without warning comes the hand of man; he turns those bonds to dust.
One gift alone remains, Will she unbind my chains, and release me like the dove?
And have we reached the pinnacle of this endless night?
What did either of us do to be cursed with this plight?
Far and few are the ones held most dear,
Ever increases the blackness, two souls without light.
Twas not mortal beauty that held me fast
Or animal lust, that like all things does pass
No candy heart pulsed in this chest
As our Ancestors said, there is nothing that lasts.
Ancient their wisdom yet I ignored
This world and its kind Iíve always abhorred
Who pities the fallen warrior?
What honor remains it will never change that, only you I adored
Once did I speak of those Angel eyes,
How little I knew of the tears they did cry
Should I harden my heart, or await her reply?
Those eyes I canít see yet I still remember
And unto her silence I must surrender
