Loving sure and loving long
Loving right and loving wrong.
Loving hard you will soon discover,
selfishness lurks beneath the covers.
Hard lovers give all and wait to receive,
fooled by those who practice to deceive.
The hearts' been fooled, the treasure seized.
The hard lovers' crushed and now displeased.
It is not within this lover, to give and then pull back.
Giving full force, not noticing the heart is under attack.
Inside the bowl of the soul there is just a morsel left.
The deeds' been done, the lover unaware of passion's silent theft.
Passion steals the moment when lovers do not set the clock,
Hard lovers trust and open the door without waiting for the knock.
Engrossed in another instead of ones' self; hard lovers soon discover,
the foolishness in forsaking oneself and giving relentlessly to another.
