I am sorry- That I was not there when you needed me, when you begged to be brought to life. When you almost slipped off my tongue, Begging to be released. I am sorry- When I would not- When ink would not spill Paper would not be near. An excuse! for you and I both know, The flesh is all we need.. I am sorry- That I did not let you roam free. Craving, needing that attention. I've kept you locked away. Drenched and unforgiving; a whole year. No light, no life. I am sorry- Thoughts. For not spilling more ink on flesh.

an apology to words that could have been? original for sure. personally I think I would go with just one "I am sorry", at the top. also maybe drop the "that"s, I think it feels better w/out them. just a couple suggestions. I hate it when I have a great idea and fail to act. lazy? probably.
