Measure me in minutes
and swear you’ll be precise—
not less,
and not a single second more.

I am a spent gear,
and I can’t spare another spin.

my swinging pendulum
ticks towards the floor
and I skim
the bounds of gravity.

It’s not fair!
(Stupid, toxic air!)

Since you sent me careening
in this perpetual motion of

all time wants to do is hang in the air
and icicle-freeze.
Oh, I can’t keep track of the turns
in my tired, wind-up back!

It beats and breaks.
It beats and breaks.
It beats and BRAKES.

heart attack.

ha i wish more people would have read this or at least someone would have caught on. reading it twice the piece has this perpetual motion to the flow that just kinda screeches at the end. good for the attitude in my taste of words on paper. screen. very fresh and original. lyrical but still introspective enough to be legitimate poetry. thanks for the words. very cool. i think i've read a few of yours on a diffrent name..this sticks out to me. good work.
