    tender brushing
    of chapped lips
    and awkward knobby knees.

    a lost glance,
    a crooked, freckled smile
    and then they touch.

    so painfully sweet
    the innocence
    profound.

    my god
    when did I
    become such a cynic.

Romance brushes away all cynicism, and creates dreams and blushes in its wake. Your short poem creates mystery, but the muse of young romance.

I think a good title is within your poem "Innocence Profound".

    Nice work.

This reads like a haiku for some reason. The last stanza seems very familiar to me. I dunno, maybe it's something we both read and inspired you. Anyway it's a nice poem.
