Valentine
The rain was starting to trickle down outside.
"Listen," I said to the whore. "I don't want this to be over. Please, don't leave."
She looked at me with her bloodshot eyes. Her mascara, lipstick and bruises were scattered all over her face.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" she cried.
I pulled out a gun and blurted, "I love you."
In sheer terror, she asked, "Is this love?"

Forever
Chaos ensued after the captain announced that the ship was sinking. Everyone panicked except him and the girl across his deck.
The girl smiled at him, "I don't want to die alone."
He took the ring from his finger, knelt down, and gave it to the girl.
"Will you marry me?"
Her eyes sparkled with love.
"Yes."
They kissed and then embraced each other and felt more alive than ever.

Soap Opera
I saw a girl standing at the edge of the building.
"Don't do it," I said to her.
"Why not?" she queried and turned to face me. "Love had crushed me asunder. There's nothing left for me."
I stood right next to her on the ledge.
"What are you doing?" she stared at me, surprised.
I held her hand without speaking a single word.
