I told her that I love the sculpture
we're working on, as we change
the shape of space that lies between us

and space has become the frontier
I want to erase, where vibrations of light
    encounter no barriers, sharing becomes
a watercolor painting that has the touch
and feel of love as art.

I think it's how we search for the stones
in each other's paths, how I can tell her
it's ok to trust her feelings, or she
unravels my meaning from a confused thread
    of emotion

how she admires the sinewy beauty of
David's hand carved in marble, knowing the path
    of the mysterious, eloquent, sage
is inherently the pond we gaze into

This is a poem about getting to know each other. Far from being monolithic, feminist ethics encompasses a wide variety of woman-centered approaches to the moral life. Feminine approaches to ethics, with their stress on personal relationships and an ethics of care,
the last stanza is my favorite, just wonderful. I missed your writing.

"I think it's how we search for the stones

wow! that's definitely my favorite line...

i love how you describe that everything is a reflection of itself.

your poems are like gnostic codices.. romantic, scriptural and lingering.

It is a fine paintbrush you write with and quite a picture you've dabbed up here. I like to think of the "sculture we're working on" not as an acutaly physical tangible sculpture but as the actuall friendship that you are both engaged hands-on creating. This art/love/love/art masterpeice that you are both actively engaged in creating and the manifest is art. is love. That is how I read it. Thanks for the imagry.

It's so beautiful, when your friend is your mentor and your mentor is your friend. The image of gazing into the pond together makes the companionship a tangible image, or mirror, that reflects back an understanding that is felt, and shared. It is such a strong bond.

I don't have words for it, except that it's the best feeling in the world.

I wish I could write about it. But you have, and for that, I am very thankful and fortunate.

I remember one time, I heard that sculpture see the image of what they are making in the block, and then they just chip away at the stuff that isn't part of the image. That always fascinated me, and with love, it's even more interesting, where you can see the beauty of the person, and you want to chip away at the things that aren't important, or aren't a valuable part of that person. I guess you should make sure to ask if the person wants to be revealed that way, though. Some people are terrified at the thought of the world looking directly at them, and their beauty. Not you, though.

I love the begining. Negetive space is usally essential to most modern scupture but I've never though it as a sculpture in it's own right. We have the option and responsibility to shape our lives our worlds and our love. Feel like i'm wasting life, time.
