What makes a person noble?
Is it an inward trait?
Is it both the young and old?
Like malice, love, and hate,
If one can despise his fellow man,
Then can he not be taught to love him?
That in his defense will he stand,
Or will hate and malice stay his sins?
Yet those who are noble and bold,
Aid without a second thought,
Their words are not cold,
But they are healers of the heart,
They lift the spirit of the widow,
And rebuild the broken man,
In determination they go,
To right wrongs, to do what they can,
So I am convinced that nobility,
Is the path chosen or forsaken by you and me. |
