Masters Notes Book III Freak and The Lady
Greetings, reader, I am Master Hanabulada, and I have been creating Guardians for The Palace of Eden since the time before humanity trusted in our Holy Lord and knew of his existence.
The Magik used for my creations is the same as when our Holy Lord first created humanity and laid them upon this earth. The Lords Magik is forbidden to use amongst any shamans or spell casters in this era. This is due to the fact, if used incorrectly, and the correct constraints are not applied to the being, I, as the Master of it, will lose control of the homunculus.
The reasoning for the creation of these creatures are not just for the sole propose of exercising my powers in taboo Magik, but to have these existences help me guard The Palace of Eden, or at least, this is what I seek to express to my semi-mortals.
The following entries scribed here by my hand are the highlights of my third creation, Ulkais’ life – however - keep in mind Reader, that this is the story of Ulkai through his eyes, not mine.
P.1 Creation of Ulkai- 1400’s Y.O.L
Soft whispers of incantations echo across the moonlit halls of Palace Eden, where life itself is being conjured in the simplest of ways, by dirt plummeting to the ground. One small piece of it piles up at a time, until the pulpous soil that is being forged by borrowed Magik of the Gods is built up into the shape of a human. As the incantations, whispers, and grunts sprout through the soil enchanting the Seeds of Life placed upon the dirt, Ulkai is created.

Bearded, robed and old - this is the Master who Ulkai serves and shuns for bringing him into this world with the forbidden Magik of the Holy Lord. Master has told Ulkai that he is to be Guardian of The Palace of Eden. The reason for that is once every thousand years Master must replace his former guardian with a new one. This is the purpose of Ulkai - to serve and protect the Palace of Eden - and nothing else should hinder this task, warns he who has created Ulkai.
P.39960 Sadness of Ulkai- 1460 Y.O.L
Ulkai may appear to be human, this soil created being - but inhuman qualities like magik he posses. These powers can bend water, fire, nature and air to Ulkais’ will, and are used to protect The Palace of Eden. He yearns to know and learn to be human. Ulkai loathes these extra abilities with all his heart, and considers them as a curse. The genuine humans who see Ulkai regard him as witchery, an abomination. No one see’s Ulkai for what he truly is. No one understands Ulkais’ desperation to be the same as everyone else.

It has been several years, and Ulkai is alone, as he guards the moonlit halls of Eden. He still does not know what he is guarding from. No danger ever interrupted his thoughts of why he is here, patrolling these corridors, and vast gardens for his Master - but that was not until he heard the pats of feet walk across the floor, and a shadow skitter around his outer vision. On guard, Ulkai crept toward the patter; then it stopped. Ulkai lit the moonlit halls with a conjured flame from his black gloved finger tips. When the light engulfed the halls with luminescence, Ulkai hears a faint gasp echo that reverberated throughout the room. Still walking towards the last note of patter, the shadow slinked slowly from the pillar - and stopped just as the light of fire revealed the face of a beautiful lady. Her black hair appeared as though she immersed black ink through it each day, and eyes where you could see dolphins and mermaids frolic as they were the blue sea itself. The lady is so mesmerizing that the flame on Ulkais gloved fingers lit more brightly, and to some extent frightening the exquisite dame.

Ulkais’ world has been changed. Turned into something that is not only The Palace of Eden itself, or Ulkais’ view of himself as a ragged, unpleasant abomination to humanity, but now Ulkais’ views of himself have altered into something pure. The Lady of the night changed all this, by treating Ulkai the way she thought any human should be treated; with love, and respect. This is how Ulkais’ heart was entangled by the silk web of The Ladies’ heart. Ulkai continued to meet her the following evenings at The Palace of Eden, when the moon rose highest in the sky, and lit the halls with all its grandeur.

During each encounter, Ulkai and the Lady, would speak of their long day of being apart, and she would tell him the stories of humanity outside The Palace of Eden. Ulkai always asked questions, but never of the humanity outside of Eden; just of the beautiful lady herself. In turn Ulkai would show her the mysterious things he could accomplish, uttering a few incantations that lit the sky with beautiful silhouettes of the Lady herself.

Drawn and seemingly in love with one and another, they would caress each other passionately, beside the ever watchful flowers of Eden. The passions of Ulkais’ and the Ladies’ caress could be heard through the palace. Ulkai adored this women of long fine black hair, with skin tinted the color of the trees themselves. The Ladies voice soft as a whisper - chiming in his ears - with her breath as fragrant as the roses that surround them.

To Ulkais’ avail, naught could last forever, not even this seemingly immortal love. Ulkais’ heart tore into a million pieces when he was told by the villagers of the surrounding Palace of Eden to end this relationship, or should Ulkai face death for ‘soiling’ his lady of the night like so.
Once all have completely heard of the romance between the Freak of Life and The Lady - ravaging terrors and screams from humanity tore across the airs, battering the walls of The Palace of Eden.
Do not dirty your soul on this taboo!
He is not human!
He is a curse! Our Holy Lord do not except beings such as this!
Do not fall for his satanic traps my Lady!
Not wanting to be separated from his love, Ulkai wanted to turn The Lady semi-immortal as well- however the Ladies heart was not into it. She did not want to live a life forever, even if it was meant to be with Ulkai.

The Ladies’ mind was warped into the pleas of her family, and soon she too thought it was a course to live for as long as Ulkai has been.

Furious and pained at heart by The Lady of the Nights misunderstandings of Ulkai, he attempted to tell her of the several occasions he’s been happy with her.
The Lady replied ‘They might be pleasant now, but happiness in itself does not last forever.’
Pleadingly Ulkai answered ‘Love can be strong is we work at it, my dear’
The Lady sighing, with hair falling to her eyes, ‘No, love cannot last that long, for it might last past my death, for I might be still in love with you, but for the sake of the both of us, here we must part. I want a life where I can see my children grow. I do not want to be some steady immortal watching my children, children’s die.’ Taking a deep breath and placing her hand on Ulkais’ face, 'This is not what parents do, and for surely not what humanity does.’
In Ulkais’ mind and his fevering battle of thoughts rushed through and unable to control his emotions on the inside, he exploded into a shock of violence - and for the first time - Ulkai truly soiled himself by dipping his hand in the blood of his beloved. Her last breath, still as fragrant as the roses, uttered ‘Death is a gift, my love and should be treasured, as life itself.’
